Kate is self taught and has always loved making things with her hands, (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics) so starting tiny warbler was a natural progression motivated by her love (obsession really) of fabrics.

Her company name is inspired by her love of nature and birds, a product of growing up in the country and parents who were avid birders. The warbler is one of her favorites because of it’s pretty song and because they are so tiny and compact.

Tiny Warbler has been featured in such magazines as Canadian House & Home, Canadian Home and Country, Glow and, most recently, Where Vancouver. In addition, her work has been featured on many blogs and websites (including dooce.com and bloesem kids).
